This is a small temporary altar I had set up about 18mths ago : )
The main altar is a breakfast tray I placed some cloth over. The white bowls hold my elements - tealight, seashell, salt with a beautiful stone and soapstone incense holder. I hand picked the flowers from the backyard.
Full view. Ignore the bed post on the right lol.
The small wooden box holds my tarot cards and the larger one under held my tools.
My beautiful jade buddha. Some clear and smokey quartz, amethyst and moonstone sit infront of him.
Flowers floating in water as an offering : )
The small pic in the middle bottom area has a part of the Rede written on it.
A pic without the flowers. You can see my gem tree - amethyst and clear quartz and my wand - rosewood, copper and clear quartz.
Old Altar : )
And yet another Altar : )
This is My Brigid Altar.
There's still a few things that need tweeking but overall I'm pretty happy with it.
In the Gold Photoframe is a pic of Brigid.
In the smaller photoframe is a pic of my 11wk ultrasound. The small bowl in front contains water as a representation of Brigid's connection with wells.
Altary Goodness : )
Just a quick post with some of my altars
My Goddess Altar
I painted this last June. I was crazy enough to insist on painting it outside during the cold winter winds lol. You cant see but she has written around her part of the Charge of the Goddess, which you can only see from certain angles : )
My Main Altar
Its a decorators table I picked up at a craft store for $20. I've closed the blinds so I could get better pics without glare : )
On the left you can see one of my cauldrons, the white bowl behind it has my offerings to Rhiannon. Next is a Pic of Rhiannon with a moon stone in front of her, goddess candle, my awsome pentagram box I bought of ebay lol. You can see its lid is currently being used as my altar tile : ) God candle on the right and a pic of cernunnos with a peice of citrine in front of him, his offering bowl. My elemental representations are in glass votive holders. I used to have actual water on there instead of a sea shell but little hands (that belong to my 3yr old) kept playing in it lol. The white ceramic jar I use to hold libations and joint offerings to the gods. The shallow white bowl to the right (with the candle in it) holds various stones.
The bowl in the middle currently holds my goddess rosary that I made, a hematite bracelet and a rose quartz sphere. My wand is rosewood with copper twisted along its length and clear quartz on either end. Next to that is my Clear quartz and amethyst gem tree and on the otherside my cresant moon pentacle pendant (from dryad designs) which is strung on a gold chain my grandmother gave me : )
This is my meditation Altar. The small Jar holds rock salt and the bowl at the front has a peice each of snowflake obsidian, rose quartz, amethyst and clear quartz. The wand is still a work in progress at the moment, its from a fallen Eucalyptus tree : )
